Here for kindness and truth.
Disabled mom, former social worker, Blue living in a red state.
This is why I love donating regularly.
Joe just had his 67th birthday, and I know you'll join me in wishing him and Steph the very best. ❤ If you decide to do a blood or platelet donation for all of the Joe's out there, let us know.
Please share!

He spent over 40 days in the hospital and had numerous platelet donations to keep him going. Now he has to go back.

Steph wanted me to share their story with my platelet donor group, and she reiterated: "Please tell them they are my angels. Every donor, every blood product."

Then he had a couple bone marrow biopsies and discovered he has myelofibrosis which is scarring in the marrow. So all we could do for him is get his daughter's stem cells, kill his, and start over. But none of her cells were found in his body. His cells were coming back and killing everything.

Ezra, Adam Grant has an article out today on counteracting an obstacle that some *potential* members of Indivisible may feel to getting involved: Learned Helplessness.

Also touches on what works.

When people don't stand up to bad leadership, it's rarely because they don't care. It's often that they feel powerless.

Learned helplessness is the pattern of giving up when we learn that events in our lives are beyond our control.

The answer isn't to accept defeat. It's to find sources of power.

Lutnik (and maybe therefore, his grandmother? though I have no way of knowing) is a billionaire. Wtf does he know about living on $1000/ a month??? I would wager they’re trying to foment fear so that we *don’t* complain. Being beholden to SS monthly income myself, it is terrifying.

Thank you for continuing to speak up, for being there for all of us. I can look to you when it’s so scary and think, “There must be some way through this. What do I do first?”
