Heidi in Montana
@inmontana.bsky.social
Former mid-market newspaper journalist. Liverpool Football Club, Manchester music, Montana mountains.
I've always wondered this. Seems like the obvious follow-up question!

Yeah, housing has become insanely expensive here in my corner of Montana. Funny how I don't see immigrants every which way I turn.

They could have asked HBO about this.

I'm sure Mike Johnson has never heard of it either. But can we say they're lying when we don't know what's in their hearts? 😬

Sad that it's comforting to see people taking their jobs seriously in this dangerously unserious world. In a better world, this would barely be worth comment.

No. No, they wouldn't Ron. Even if they had 12 free hours a day, coming up with a health care plan is work, something they know nothing about. It would also disrupt the rotating schedule of whining on their favorite propaganda outlets.

This is ridiculous, but then again, I love the idea of a university staff plotting and scheming to somehow do their nefarious DEI deeds undercover. I'm sure this is all very reality-based.

Funny how no one ever disagrees when an X-ray says their arm is broken.

JFC, there was literally nothing funny about that question. Then to go on and analyze the "joke." These people are incomprehensible.

I wish Hegseth would lecture my husband. I kind of hate his beard.

Ross could have been the star of this list, easily. What a pretentious (multiple words I'd love to use but won't.)
November 12, 2025 at 3:09 PM
This has serious Spinal Tap vibes.

You are 100 percent correct! I wanted the media to run side-by-side transcripts and social media posts of Trump and Harris EVERY DAY during the campaign, with no reporter filter. One lives in reality, the other rants like a psychotic street preacher. Might have been instructive.

Read with all the passion and eloquence of reading through the ingredients on a box of cereal.
November 11, 2025 at 6:39 PM
Crazy idea. If your job requires you to wear a mask because you are doing something morally dubious (at best) maybe don't do that job.
November 11, 2025 at 6:33 PM
The presidency is just a nonstop good time for this narcissist. These Dear Leader fests and the reporters hanging onto ever word while he spews absolute nonsense from the door of his airplane are only a small part of giving him everything he's ever wanted.

Fear of one person getting something for which they didn't pull themselves up by their own bootstraps is the GOP's driving philosophy. Unless its a giant inheritance or wealth compounded by the stock market or a crypto scheme.

Every high school student should have to take a journalism class, based on standards we all learned back in the day. Normal people have no idea how journalism is supposed to work anymore.

Well I guess we have loads in common! I also used to be a horse person. Spent teenage years in the Westernaires, an unusual and huge drill-team organization in Colorado.

I need to watch this! Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Might cheer me up in these troubled times for Liverpool.

Actually, it might be nice if this pastor's comments were true as my gay son has a crush on half the Liverpool players and I'm sure a few others around the league. 😀

In fairness, I think he moved from talking about Crockett to Ilhan Omar, whose name he probably couldn't remember, because his thoughts buzz around like a fly in a landfill. And in fairness, his entire mind is just racist hate-filled garbage.
November 11, 2025 at 2:45 PM
I like how he talks about how they "kick in doors" like that's an everyday thing. Clearly he's watching too many cop shows.
November 11, 2025 at 2:37 PM
I have a privileged amount of free time and I get panicky at the mere idea of researching insurance companies and figuring out how to pay for a plan. I can't imagine people working full-time are keen to spend their time this way. What a clueless idiot.
November 11, 2025 at 2:33 PM
Oh, hell no. I was just thinking today how nice it would be if we went back even before cable, with all the all the books and newspapers and reliable (usually) mainstream media.
November 10, 2025 at 10:30 PM
Man, is this nonsense. Is the government going to be directly sending all the money to pay for all the things, like surgeries and emergencies and cancer treatments that cost tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars? Directly?
