Honestly I thought the same about DAO and DA2. I think "bad writing" is just gonna happen. Even some points in Inquisition didnt hit for me. But it didnt ruin the greater whole of the narrative.

Im 35 hours in and while its not a perfect game, it is a fun game. Change is hard, old things are missed. New things take time to love. But im loving the journey its taking me on so far.

I write as a hobby, but I know if I crafted a villain that was just so outwardly evil as this guy here, no one would buy it as realistic. Even less so if I named him "Musk" meaning a strong odor, because he stinks. Metaphorically, maybe literally. The symbolism wouldn't be clever. Too on the nose.
