i can relate. my most recent project (47k words) reads like an exercise in how much i could hurt a guy and still have the plot make sense. lots of slow-building dread.

i still have the 10-colour pen and mini stationery kit i got from the fair a decade ago. definitely got ripped off for those things but i loved em. am an artist so i think younger me always went right for the stationery lol

renting an older house means seeing lots of tiny roommates! i get loads of cellar spiders and house centipedes. saw a huge silverfish running for its life from one once so the roommates are always a welcome sight even if they jumpscare me at my desk

yea would it kill them to take less blood? i remember watching a documentary about this and they were casually like "yea the crabs usually survive the process but a lot die after they're let back into the water"

yeah i feel you. writing fiction is literally all i want to do all the time. i'll skip sleep and (non-urgent!) responsibilities just to finish that last paragraph. ive got 10s of thousands of words written for FUN. but i'd never want to do it as a job! that's not even a possibility in my head.
