A few fun things from this year. A lot of work I can't show as the projects haven't been released yet

One of my favourite projects this year was the opportunity to create a large scale archival piece of my Tiger and Butterfly artwork 🦋 🐅 It’s on a slightly metallic base that adds a gorgeous depth to the colours - something you really have to see in person to appreciate

The quills turned out beautifully. I think my favourites are the raven and crow quills, but the owl and cockatoo quills have fun spattery results I love as well

I'll probably post some more photos of the nib cutting & tests, but for now wanted to share this photo of my studio's new quill bouquet

It was lovely to see my recent portrait of Ian Tregoning and Graham Hobbs up in the Living Choice boardroom. It always feels rewarding to see my work on display

After some initial prep work the feathers are curing and hardening in a lovely warm sand-cake, getting ready to turn into quills

About to make a new set of quills, this time including owl, raven, parrot and cockatoo feathers 🪶

It was great to catch up with the Adelaide Illustrators group yesterday, so much talent around one table 🤩
