Long rambly rant but I just get tired of hearing people get upset that they aren't as good as people who put in enormous amounts of effort. I see this in the art world too. No you cannot just pick up a pencil and become the next great artist in a day. But you can work on that over time <3

I've been playing Beatsaber almost every day for over a year, and I'm really good (imo) but sometimes my brain is just not in it, or my body simply cannot handle it. Sometimes I need that break to do other things and then come back. If you're determined, you can make up time for that break.

Also! Breaks! "Inkpen you just said that you need to work at stuff all the time?" Yeah yeah I get it, I know. It's true, sometimes you gotta tough it out. But if your body is too exhausted to lift, you gotta let it chill or you're gonna get hurt.

Anyways, just remember: If you are trying to lift heavier weights but you only lift weights once a week, you might slowly improve but some of that muscle will be lost over that time span. You shouldn't show up to a competition expecting to lift 100lbs when you only lift once a week. That's silly lol

But people like Chronos prioritize their improvement. I had to stop playing partially due to the fact that I didn't have time. I have so much else I want to do, so I put that first. Chronos finds splatoon important enough to work around. They've given up stuff too!

If y'all couldn't tell, I'm here to spread X rank propaganda. If you aren't improving, play more and play a wider variety of ways. If you're a working adult who doesn't have that time... :( dang that means you're simply unable to do it. I know life sucks and we all need money to live.

Chronos has been playing since they were like four or something. That time leading up to now give them an advantage. But hey if I tried really hard and played every day (like Chronos) I could maybe get close. I don't have the motivation to do so, but I also don't get upset by the fact that I'm shit.

It is entirely unreasonable to expect that I, with my 500 something hours, can even reach close to the level of Chronos. Yes, some people also have it easier than others. Chronos is a god gamer and I am a baby gamer. Splatoon is my first shooter, I have no experience in this.

Most of us are busy people with lives, and that is totally understandable. Just don't act like you putting in less hours should give you the same results. Iirc Chronos has a similar amount of hours to their XP. I do not, I stopped comp a while ago. I simply cannot compare.

I see a lot of people who only play when their team plays, or only play with friends. This is me. I am people lol. But I am not a good splatoon role model, go look at Chronos instead. Either way, you cannot just play in one setting and expect to get better, or only play occasionally and get better.

Maybe people don't see Splatoon as seriously as they view physical sports. Not to say they are equal, they are two very different things, but I think some people miss the fact that Splatoon is really hard and that getting better is extremely hard.
