Merry Christmas #3d #3dprinting #octopus

Happy birthday to me. I love when I buy my own birthday gifts. Look just arrived today. You know what this means. Yep more 3D printing is on the way. Already have the models ready to go and ready to print. Let’s see how many prints I can make off these 3 PLA spools.

Painting is all done and now test fitting before I glue it all together. I feel there is just enough rust I applied to give it a true feel for a VW @vw Wanted to see if I can recreate the rust paint feel. I think I got it. Love the colors and the silver for the legs.

Another night in the studio. As I said before you have to push yourself outside your comfort zone and keep learning. This makes you a better artist and have to try new things and styles. You get set into your own world and style that’s great.

Ok off to design land again and another freelance job to create or update the logo for this company. Very honored to get the job and have some ideas already. Feel kinship to this industry because I grew up in an architecture and engineering family.

You are never too old to learn new tricks and try new ideas and concepts. Thanks to my friend @lxbrochon who introduced me to these. I never thought I would use this but they are pretty amazing. Can’t wait to pick up more colors to paint this. This might be my new way to paint my 3D prints

Went out again tonight to check out another gallery @ruizhealyart and to check out my friends opening @joanfabianof_art and her beautiful artwork. This week been busy checking out artists and galleries. Getting back into the art scene again.

Another day in the studio doing two things. First one more testing of my 3D Printer with a long and batch printing with really small parts and see how they print and look. Tweaked a few numbers and got this print done in 2 sections. Time to assemble.

Ok I finally got the effect and technique I been trying to get and accomplished for little over a year now. When I started this crazy idea and concept I thought it would be easier and fun and a learning experience.

Finally got the proper color scheme on the dragon I 3d printed a few months back. Kept on bugging me and finally had time to get this off my list. Learned a lot about things on painting this model and what I like and don't like. FYI I used watercolor to paint this.

Shit the paint isn’t even dry and I am already jumping into a new project. My crazy ass brain had a concept to revisit a character named Froi I developed years ago and now it going to be a blown design concept. From every part of design I know and love to do. So stand back and watch.
