I originally thought "ink drinker" (buveur d’encre) was just another one of my gran’s made-up phrases, but I have since spoken to other (mostly older) people from her region who use it. And there’s even a bookshop in Paris called Buveur D’encre. So, Nicole Lefevre, this list is dedicated to you!
