I quite love Bleeding Alabaster but some of the aspects of this one I love even more

This seems to be coming down (from the people who aren't talking in bad faith/hating tguys) to a distortion of the concept of ownvoices writing, taken to the point where they think trans characters are always *literally* about the author.

I really did love the movie!! Wonderful voicework especially and use of color. But i also definitely recommend reading the manga, maybe i have a Comics Bias but i think its very cool

I think there's nuance of it reflecting multiple experiences but ive rather lost patience for trans people, men and women alike, who have a men are from mars/women are from venus, never the twain shall meet attitude and think they can't (or refuse to) empathize with other kinds of trans people

But like theres a couple twitter users who pretty famously despise trans men whose read on it is as shown below and im like. Ok one "wholesome chungus ftm rep" is an insane read lol and second, this *clearly* is a part of the development of togata in fire punch, a trans man who can't transition

Yeah, like I do think its interesting and notable how fujimoto associates traits of himself with female characters like in look back and i think that's definitely there in woke up syndrome, but im perplexed some ppl insist it has **nothing to do** with transmasc experiences. I think its both!

The fujimoto manga is one of his early oneshots and its pretty obviously part of the development path of ideas that went into the trans man character in fire punch, but theres a lot of people being Weird about it
