You can’t keep getting away with this
I guarantee you that Stephen Miller's spankbank consists of grainy footage from Auschwitz

Ah yeah, OHMSS was pretty close too, and then they went full loco starting with Diamonds Are Forever. (Though in the films' defense we probably would've found Gala Brand a less memorable heroine name than... Holly Goodhead)

(Also: missed opportunity to never have a Bond Girl named Lucy Moralez)

It's been a minute since I read Fleming's Bond novels, but IIRC the first four movies hew pretty close to the books and then Whoa Nellie (pun intended)

High five to the forgotten person who pointed this out, but Hugo Drax is basically Elon Musk - jowly charisma-less billionaire who's obsessed with space and has a breeding fetish. Except I remember seeing a Black woman as part of the future space race at Drax's chateau so he's got that over Musk

That was the supporting cast of Living Daylights IIRC, though LTK's David Hedison and Robert Davi were solid in their own right

Odd because while I believe I'm a few years older, musically I'm 34. (The algorithm probably thinks I'm a mopey post-millennial British queer girl, and who am I to judge?)

I'd read that Armendáriz and Ian Fleming had bonded (sorry) during the filming of FRWL and talked about the former's friendship with Ernest Hemingway and how he knew when his time was up, sadly foreshadowing Pedro's own suicide (he'd been suffering from terminal cancer)

I think License to Kill mostly suffered from the time it was released. By then the formula had already been established and a low-stakes revenge plot vs a druglord wasn't as compelling

From Russia With Love is arguably the best film in the series and definitely the best "serious" one, with the best ally. It does lose a bit of steam towards the end and the main character slapping Tatiana has, to put it mildly, aged poorly.

Everyone has at least one problematic fave, and the Bond franchise is mine.

Lots to be disappointed in about this game but at least we didn't go full Jack Sawyer

Trade you Kid Rock for Dave Portnoy? 🤢

Heck, the best way we can commemorate his death - per his OWN WORDS - is move about our day as if nothing happened.

The saving grace is that the comments let us know which posters we can completely disregard going forwards

surely you're not implying that in a few years he will be dreherily wasting his life away in some random Bupadest suburb?

It's fine, it's not like our (and Hiter's) first game next season is in Germany or we repeatedly say "Hail!" in our fight song

Let's be real, the USS Maine never would've sunk if Navyman Connor Stallions had been around to decode the Spanish's signs

Yes it's part of the shitty grift, but the more time he vacations the less time he spends raping the Constitution and/or couches

I promise that I won't cry like Jack Sawyer did when Mason Graham was taunting him last November.
