He should have been removed ages ago. The whole leadership is junk and needs to go at this point. It’s absurd.

I’ve had a Grand Voyager XL for years, and it’s still beautiful. The super expensive ones from PR are trifold, and I think that style takes up too much desk space. If I’m spending big money on a cover it’ll be William Hannah or Rotterfaden.

Oh sure. We can’t get rid of Confederate monuments because that’s “erasing history,” but these can just disappear and it’s fine? 🤬

I mean the texture on the outside of the pen. The nib is okay, as I remember.

The aluminum one feels awful. The texture is like nails on a chalkboard. <shudder>

Yeah, that ink is super wet, from what I hear.

What sort of ink are you looking for? A dark red? A red that is so dark it looks black? Something like the red/black BLX? (I haven’t compared those to anything, but I have them and could do.)

That is sorta my bag. 😄

I like the new Diamine Forever inks.

Fun fact: Most fountain pens take a cartridge, so you don’t have to dip them in ink. The awesome bottles of ink are at least half the fun, though!

That looks like fun!

Here’s the product page for Tom’s India. (As you now know) it’s only usable with dip pens. They’re not as explicit about that as I’d like, but those are acrylic based, and you really don’t want them in fountain pens. Best of luck cleaning them out!

Pigmented inks are often just fine with fountain pens. You don’t want them to dry out in there, but they work fine. I wouldn’t put pigment in an Eclipse, but the Ecos are going to be fine.

India inks are acrylic-based, and should never be used in fountain pens.

(Sorry, that was meant to be very tongue-in-cheek.)
October 12, 2025 at 3:54 PM
Well, you could probably install it, but it would be a bear to get it to work properly.

Oh geeze, not Reddit. 😬 Poor Adolphus. Why not Bluesky?
October 12, 2025 at 3:45 PM
That’s for the best. Those FB pen communities are not friendly. 😐

Adolphus was there? Awesome! He’s very cool. We have a couple of his pens and we really like them. One had a small problem, but he fixed it up for us with no problem.

“Permission to Dance” by BTS. Would be hilarious with the right creepy movie.

I really like my Paper Republic cover and papers, and this looks great.

You’ve got a real knack for picking background materials from around the house! This is a skill I need!
