shu erased herself from the shennong legend—which should belong to both her and shennong—out of misplaced guilt, definitely
but another reason could be that she feared shennong being forgotten together with her if she perished

when jie died, all of her works, her writings etc were erased.. everything that marked her as an individual
now i’m not sure if she—or any other sui sibling—knew that that would happen before she died, but if they did know…
