My mom says I’m on some list because of the books I read. 🕺 Guess that means I’m doing something right.

Book reviews & recommendations for understanding *gestures wildly* this hellscape.

Raleigh. Radical Bookseller.
Second book today. Found it a bit difficult to jive with the writing style and felt that it didn’t offer anything other than a weird finger pointing rant that never really came together.

Just finished. As a disabled person, this book spoke for me (and to me) in ways I hadn’t expected. Highly recommend if you’re looking to understand more on the relationship between technology and disability - both how it helps and hurts.

What an incredible piece of work from @versobooks.bsky.social and Rachel Marie-Crane Williams.

Stunned. 10/10. Required reading.

“Elegy for Mary Turner” is a siren call. Part historical analysis, part narrative account, part sketchbook. A true Artists’ Book. Please read this. 📚💡

Some days I miss my lil man more than others and today is one of those. He was my cuddle bug and my best friend and I can’t believe he would’ve been 15 next month!

In light of the Department of Education eradication and dismantling, I thought it a good time to read, “Dangerous Learning” from Derek W. Black. Just a chapter in and already awe struck on how far we’ve regressed in these trumpian times.

I’ve decided I want to be a radical bike librarian.

Like, just ride around, loan out radical books, ask for donations, and live my life.

Todays reads. This book is pretty killer. Definitely recommend if you’re interested in attention economics.

Running on fumes, but I finished "Anarchism and Other Essays" by Emma Goldman from @akpress.org

And you know what? Goldman's still a damn legend. A collection of her most potent work, these essays just hammer home why anarchism matters. Not just some theory, but true ideals put into action. 📚💡

One of the more important books I’ve read this year. The Nap Ministry is continuing to shift my thoughts on rest and its importance in our society and how I can use my privilege to protect it for those who cannot.

Shirked all responsibility today and finished designing/making this little guy. He’s cute and cozy and has some weight to him.

Just like me!

Y’all doing this with me?

I mean. Yes, I run a bookstore and all that but, one day ain’t gonna kill us. So, keep that wallet at home. Sit on your ass inside. Let them hear us SPEAK.

Super proud of this lil blankie. Discovering and teaching new crochet stitches still gives me a big ole thrill. Crochet brioche is my obsession right now. LOL
