From a clinical perspective, it sounds kinda like both anxiety and, knowing you, the kind of anxious perseveration we typically see in OCD? Doesn't have any more basis in truth than intrusive thoughts usually do, but man, does it suck.

Having that articulated by someone not in the middle of what feels like a massive fascist smash-and-grab is really affirming, though—means we're not imagining how bad it is. So still appreciated, and we're tryin'. <3
