3 years ago the festival I co-run received a great reception from the priest whose venue we used despite it being very ‘out there’. Emboldened, we booked a perf. artist called Myrgon for the next year, not realising the priest had changed. One clay demon child later, we were told never to come back.

Mostly yes - I mean I’m a freak and get abuse quite often in Oslo (where I live) but I would say that when it comes to things like gendered clothing men in particular are definitely more laidback than in the UK. Maybe I just know a lot of people who have had a Steiner background!

This is very common in Scandinavia (probably more so in Sweden than Norway). Men in particular are much more playful / liberal / laidback about what they wear and it’s great.
