I remember the paint jobs on this miniatures ad so vividly, I don’t even have to zoom in!

I will check those out. Always good to see classic takes on the Universal monsters. Speaking of…the beginning of the Ploog Monster of Frankenstein series was almost an adaptation.

I also fondly remember John Bolton’s art on the Army of Darkness comic adaptation and the movie poster.

Creature From The Black Lagoon by Adams and Moncuse. I’ve always loved the movie, and Art Adams is a perfect choice for 1950s retro.

Love it! I picked up this particular issue because I recognized Fugazi and FEAR in a flip through, so of course that story resonated.

I think those were just SPX badge freebies. That one was my favorite.

Captain America 616-619. I remember really cool panels of Black Widow kicking. I need to pull them out of the short boxes for a re-read.

I wish this collected the Samnee Black Widow and Winter Soldier “Gulag” story from the 2004 Captain America run instead. Those were the issues that put Samnee’s kinetic art on my radar, and they prominently feature Natasha, unlike the later run.
