Halfway through Caledonian Road by O'Hagan. It's a brilliant dive into today's UK society, but the pronouns and London slang are tripping me up! Not as funny as Coe. Also, why's the French version in "Bibliothèque écossaise"?

Just finished Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan—such a beautiful read! Loved it so much that I’m gifting it to all my book-loving relatives this Christmas. Now on the hunt for my next read—any recommendations?

This non-fiction book. I may also persuade someone to offer me Claire Keegan's Small Things Like These, which, according to your followers, is among the finest recent works of Irish fiction.

Peter Caddick-Adams' 2020 masterpiece on the D-Day landings is the most thorough and engaging account I've read on Normandy. Impeccably researched and highly readable, it even covers the French contributions. A must-read for history buffs! Next up: Stephen Fisher's book on Sword Beach.
