The inspiration for "Elke's Magic" the tale of a Jewish girl hidden in plain sight, was drawn from my father's life in the Danish Resistance during WWII, hiding his Jewish friends in the quarantine wards of the hospital where he worked. #internationalholocaustremembranceday
