It's an eye-opening interview for sure. I agree that IRL kids need to be left alone more, outside playing, and scraping their knees. However, I don't think I'll protect my peace by letting my kid be traumatised online with sexual harassment and beheading videos, like I was in the early 2000s haha!

I think it's still important to have this discussion, as many parents assume games meant for children are automatically safe and don't need extra measures to protect their kids from grooming — and some parents lack the skills and information needed to set up parental controls that work.
