June 27 is National PTSD Awareness Day. As someone who continues to work through their own PTSD, it is important to me to be a resource for others who might be struggling. First Responders are exposed to traumatic situations and susceptible to PTSD, but so are people working in natural hazards.

so.... the literature cites the first magnetic tape recordings of volcanoes as the 1950 recordings by NHK Broadcasting Bureau of the Strombolian eruption of Izu-Oshima volcano.
But when I was at GVP during AGU we found recordings of Hekla labeled as 1947!
