Having played a shit ton of The Witcher 3 over the past week I think I can confidently say that it has aged so, so much better than Cyberpunk. I love Cyberpunk but there is just some rock solid, evergreen stuff in TW3 that I don't think is ever going to feel "bad" to play

One thing I love about Fromsoft is that if they ever do a traditional "heavenly"/"holy" looking character you can be damn sure there is something absolutely horrifying under the surface

"Abolish Ice" is not some bleeding heart lefty position. These guys are quite literally driving a stake into the hearts of communities across the country. School concerts, outdoor events, small businesses, nobody will do that shit if armed goons are showing up to kidnap abuelas and mace children
About to watch a livestream of my child's first band concert because in-person events were canceled due to the very real threat of federal agents using the opportunity to take away students or their families

I'm currently at one of the strangest events I've ever been to. I thought it was a high school career fair and I came to rep my organization but there's no students here. I'm in a classroom alone with a teacher who is talking about how he used to lived in Germany but "had to flee the country"

Generative AI is costly, inaccurate, trained on stolen data, and has not been shown to increase productivity or efficiency in literally any test case or application but whenever a CEO talks about it they're like "it's the future! It's here to stay! Get on board or get run over!"

Some perspective by an actual artist who knows more than me about working in the industry;
Like man, my career only exists in the way that it does now because a production designer was googling "realistic pokemon" and found me. If he could have just had a machine spit that out, I never would have gotten a job. This is a major issue hitting artist discoverability.

A lot of people like Swen because by all accounts Larian is a good studio to work at but I feel the need to remind you that any time an executive or director at a studio talks about using AI to "save time" or "increase efficiency" what they really mean is they're using it to cut labor costs

A lot of people like Swen because by all accounts Larian is a good studio to work at but I feel the need to remind you that any time an executive or director at a studio talks about using AI to "save time" or "increase efficiency" what they really mean is they're using it to cut labor costs
