I know it's a kids movie, over the top and cartoony is the standard but the original Moana wasn't like that, which was a good thing imo.

However, the animation was beautiful, and Moana and Maui's friendship was great. If you took out the unnecessary extra characters / adjusted them to be more like real people it would have been sooo much better!
(Bat lady was great, gramps gets a pass, but the other 2 were.. a lot)

For the 2 characters I found annoying - (SPOILERS) YOU ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN STOP TEARING YOUR SHIP APART?? LOOK WHERE YOU'RE GOING? COMMON SENSE PLEASE? sure they got better but they didn't do much. Repair girl did more but they were both so over the top cartoony tryna be funny
