My original point was that if civilians can defeat your army, it's a bad army. So the idea of a well regulated militia may have made sense when it was written but wouldn't work in the US now.

I can find stuff about African, Asian and South American governments being over thrown by the army. But nothing about uprisings against the USA. I think initial point is still valid although not so black and white.
