this'll apply to any app that tries to use the GNOME save/open dialogue (which is where the issue of inconsistency comes from)!

there's a one time bit of configuration you can do to ensure that all save/loads dialogues are consistent in fedora+kde, as listed here: www.shernet.com/linux/native...
Native KDE File Dialogs in Firefox
One of my favorite things about running KDE’s own distro, KDE Neon, is how it defaults to using the KDE file UI in Firefox. I’m not sure why Kubuntu and Fedora KDE don’t know this…

i've found dolphin (the KDE file manager) to be the best of the bunch in terms of the default file managers. unfotunately it seems like mint has issues with it (tbh i find mint isn't the easy entry point that it used to be, when i help people move to linux i usually put them on fedora + kde!)

kdeconnect.kde.org I started using this when I switched to Linux (it's also on windows) and it's worked pretty well so far (though caveat I use Android, it exists on iOS but can't say much about performance)

such an under-discussed gem. me and my board game group always have an async game going, because async actually works when you design for it!

(if you're ever looking for an async game would love to have you join :P)
