Ali not all countries past and present within the EU use the Euro. The UK never used it for example - there are other countries within the EU single market that don't use the Euro. Thanks for coming back though, I appreciate it. Please tell Joy and others that England isn't the UK.

The EU is the biggest trading union in the world. Not North America. The borders are irrelevant. I see basic errors on MSNBC each week. Most show a lack of knowledge of the world outside the U.S. The typical one is the U.S. is the gold standard for x, when globally it's not close to the top.

The U.S. being wedded to unbridled free speech, no tech antitrust action, no social media regulation and (as Weissman said) a grade F justice system means that the Maga GOP won.

Many of them and think tanks peddle misrepresentations of Adam Smith's work. He opposed anything resembling a monopoly or oligopoly. He would be appalled by big tech having so much unregulated power. Old fashioned antitrust legislation should've taken care of Meta, Google, Amazon etc.

He should've been jailed within a month of the attempted coup. The U.S. Justice System is a joke. The tech billionaires wouldn't exist if antitrust was enforced. Unregulated freedom of speech & tech means the U.S. is the world's misinformation HQ which is what got Trump elected. America ate itself.

I don't understand why Americans can't see the reasons for Trump being elected. Most countries are insular to some extent. However America seems to suffer insularity to a degree that's unique.

Love the show apart from one part. You keep referring to Britain as England, which is rather like calling the USA New York.
