Haven’t read Huck Finn since High School (which is longer ago than I can admit to myself).

Is a reread of it necessary to get the most out of James?

Either Hitchcock or Kurosawa. When you realize how much of the visual language we understand from film came from them it’s truly insane.

Buying books off @libro.fm just feels so good doesn't it?

You may already know this, but in case you don't the next books were written a little later and start a new story. So you're in the perfect place to take a break from the series.

Golden Son is definitely the highlight of that trilogy. All three are good, but that middle book is something special. Feeling a little bit of a letdown is understandable.

How do You Live? By Genzaburo Yoshino.

A thoughtful book teaching Young Men how to view themselves as part of a greater whole and how to be considerate, gentle, honourable and accountable.

I wish I’d read it when I was younger, but holds good messages at any age.

Still very early on, all setup so far. But I am enjoying it. I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, I enjoyed Leviathan Wakes but it didn’t grab me until the last couple hundred pages, but the series never let me go after that.
