MISERICORDIA is a very dark comedy set to the backdrop of a thriller. It’s a story that revolves around forgiveness/pity, as the name would suggest. The dynamic between Jérémie and the Priest is the foundation of this film.

Also the Priest best character, we love him.

You do not want this Cine2Nerdle smoke, I’ll banish your ass.

One thing that I haven’t been able to wring out of my head since The Brutalist is how Van Buren is a persona that Roger uses. It’s stuck and I can’t get it out.

Favorite first watches of February

Forgot to post 2/37 on here whoops. January 30th, I watched The Worst Person in the World. A sublime coming-of-age about a woman getting close to her thirties and still not knowing what she wants from life (relatable). The sequence when time freezes is what movies were made for.

I had already started, so the first couple are the ones I’ve seen so far, and I’ll update as I go along.

So, movie 1/37 is Raising Arizona (1987), directed by Ethan Coen.

This film is right next to Pee-wee’s Big Adventure when it comes to movies that I wish I had seen long ago.
