So, Reika seems to be making friends with one or two small coyotes that have been showing up recently. You have to watch closely down the row but you’ll see a perfectly camouflaged petite coyote duck under the vines.

Y’all. I do most of the fancy cooking in our family but tonight my husband crushed the dinner execution with this amazing meal of roasted pacific cod with garden cherry tomatoes and green olives. (Thank you NYT and please don’t hate me for still paying for my cooking subscription)

Our floofy wolf Reika did good work alerting us to danger! That buzzing you hear is a baby rattlesnake warning her off. Scary few minutes but we got her leashed and away and then dispatched said snake. Usually we let all creatures alone but a rattler close to the house and pets is too dangerous!

Was a busy day yesterday. Can report that the turnout in my red corner of Washington State was fantastic. Everyone was happy and proud. So many amazing signs. Kids, old people, dogs, immigrants, neighbors, vets. Cars honking and waving. Just incredible energy. Fuck the fascists.
