IB Mayor Paloma Aguirre on Tuesday night claimed victory in the District 1 race for the county Board of Supervisors against Chula Vista Mayor John McCann. Early unofficial results on Wednesday morning show Aguirre leading by roughly 5,000 votes, with some 70,000 ballots counted.
