I just wish he'd been crushed by a giant hunk of frozen waste accidentally dropped by a 747 or something similarly morally uncomplicated instead, because while people should not be murdered for being debased sociopathic ghouls, the world does become a better place when they cease to exist.

Many people call 'Teenage Kicks' their favourite song, and rank this Undertones debut at the top of the punk rock heap. Here's the 1978 OG, a four-song EP on Belfast's wonderful Good Vibrations label. #punk

Having recently subscribed to @theatlantic.com, had to enjoy the timing when I came home to find this tote bag awaiting me today. Not sure what to make of the rather unexpected contents, however-- was this really intended for me, or did Mr Hegseth keep his part-time gig in the mail dept?

WRETCHED/INDIGESTI - split EP
Self-released in 1982, this 7" is a magnificent slice of primordial Italian hardcore at its most feral. 12 songs, ten minutes, two chords, and about as authentic an expression of the early European hardcore underground as exists. #punk

2024 RECORD COLLECTING IN REVIEW

2023 was very good, but 2024 was perhaps its equal-- shelled out for a few things in the modern fashion, but managed to keep most of it in the wild or trading with friends.

Focus now: KBD, mod, worldwide '70s punk 45s, the odd oi/anarcho/UK82 piece.
