Higher-educated women show higher incidence but lower mortality.

Lise's study compares cardiovascular mortality in 1910 vs 2011. In 1910 higher literacy and income correlated with elevated CVD mortality. Industrial activity, measured by horsepower, was also associated with higher standardized mortality rates. (3/5)

Philippe's research reveals changing cancer mortality patterns in 20th-century Belgium. Industrialized areas showed high rates, but some rural areas are surprisingly affected too, presenting a paradox that warrants further investigation. (2/5)
