Fun thread.
Can’t have a funeral without a brass quartet. Two trumpets, a tuba and something in between. Sound made with lips and life-giving lungs. Soulful music. But nowadays people don't go for a traditional ceremony. Cheaper to get a vile violinist, one hand strangling the neck of her instrument, the other sawing it in half. Or a hack with an electronic piano. We only get commissioned in the dead of winter now. Brass doesn’t break when it’s twenty below freezing. I just hope there'll be enough players left to lower me into my grave while playing Voigtländer’s “Let me go.”
