It looks like it simply would not allow me to manually delete the app data. I guess showing my storage is an attempt to convince me I don't need to delete the app data.
My trust in #Meta is already low, but this is definitely a dark pattern double whammy that I do not like.

I have never seen it do that before, and it did not confirm whether the app data was removed. Strange! Try again, same thing.
Skip that and go to uninstall, and it gives me a checkbox for if I want to retain the app data. Again, never seen this before.

So I go to do what I always do when uninstalling an app on my Android phone: delete the app cache and then delete the app data.
App cache deletes just fine. I go to delete the app data, and instead it goes to some screen showing me my storage space.

I kid. Love Linux; been using it a couple decades. But, I don't think it's coming to the masses -- not until it's widely available in retail stores, and not until very large institutions (schools, banks, corporations, etc) embrace it.

1. SCOTUS gave the president near absolute immunity for "official acts"
2. The president could just pardon his associates caught in that net
