Here's my math. If I'm wrong, please let me know.
My work for solving for the height of a person based on the size of known object; a car in this case. 1st, find height of car. This is done by looking for known published dimensions. I then find the height of the car in pixels in the image/video. In this case, let's say the known height of the car is 150cm and the pixel height is 136px. We now know that in the image 150cm = 136px The unknown in the image is the height of the person in cm. I've assigned them the variable of Y. What we do know is their height in pixels when is 162px. Now that we have all of our variables we first need to solve how many pixels are in 1 cm. The equation is 1cm/x = 150cm/162px. We now solve for x. 150x = 162 x = 162/150 x = 1.08cm With knowing what x is we can solve for Y. Y = 162*1.08 Y = 174.96 cm Based on this, the person's height is 174.96 cm. This is assuming my math is correct.
