The highlight of this movie, and what made it work, was the relationship between the father and daughter in the movie. It is the daughter's story, in fact, that is the living, breathing heart of this story.

I wasn't sold on this drama. I found the whole Three Colors thing incredibly pretentious, claiming some great acknowledgment it didn't deserve, as if the long-lingering shot on his triptych of his beautiful 20-something actresses could open up the gates of existential profundity.

I agree with you! I hope you're okay! I was up in the Pilsen neighborhood a few months ago, and it was so beautiful, kids out in the park, I could only think it was the calm before the storm.
