Slightly different for #PostboxSaturday but on a history walk this week somebody pointed out the old village post office (now a house) still has iron hooks for tethering your dog next to the door (now a window). Love tiny details like this. Nice GR post box too. @lbsg.org @letterappsoc.bsky.social

My Aji Amarillo chillies have finally ripened! Just as the weather starts to turn. They've taken their time but now they're bringing a little bit of South American sunshine to a slightly cold and grey South Yorkshire. Can't wait to try them. The green ones were delicious 😋 #Chillies #GrowYourOwn 🌶️

Fermented green chilli sauce appears to have worked out ok. Mix of green cayenne, macha pichu and Aji Amarillo chillies plus a green pepper and garlic. Added a pinch of mustard powder when I blended it. Delicious 😋 And surprisingly hot!! 🔥 @dgbhotsauce.bsky.social

The recent heatwave has brought on the chilli crop, so I've had a fun evening making green habanero hot chilli sauce and an adapted vegan version of African shito with Zimbabwe Black chillies. Yum! 😋 Not fermented this time (sorry @dgbhotsauce.bsky.social ) but looking forward to trying both!
