Great chapter! Boys struggle with their identity, destiny and fear. And despite them kinda being in this together -they are pretty isolated. They are not just fighting the Dark One, for now they can’t even trust themselves.

Rand’s fear of going mad is stronger than ever. Dude literally has to fight his reflection , his darkest thought manifesting, is he his own word enemy? He is also scared of the world being consumed by the shadow. He managed to fight them off with the saidin.

Now Rand makes me laugh. He is dreaming about Min and Elayne striping before him and inviting him for a relaxing swim. And than he wakes up and reflects that he loves Egwene as a sister. And then Berelain comes to his room to seduce him. light burn me !!!😂😂😂

Mat is in his natural habitat playing cards😂 he wants to get enough money to get away from Rand and Moiraine. Trying to run away from his destiny🤪 but also gets attacked by a deck of cards, specifically by the Image of Amyrlin Seat who stabs him with a tiny knife. Bubbles of evil at play again

Perrin is attacked by his axe. As I understood from the next chapter it was bubbles of evil. Dark one’s influence is corrupting the world. And since an axe is a symbol of violence and destruction for Perrin, it’s his fear of becoming someone who solves problems with bloodshed manifesting.

I love reoccurring ta’veren theme and how Perrin, Mat and Rand wrestle with their roles in the pattern and how much are they “pulling” on it. Destiny or free will?

Absolutely love Perrin and Faile dynamic. He is so silly, keeping the beard to impress her🤪 Faile wants to leave Tear and for Perrin to go with her but Perrin struggles with his desire for simpler life and his ties to Rand and the wolves that prevent him from stepping away

Interesting detail about Pura, she was speaking in third person so she can lie , we know she is an aes sedai.

Seanchan are back. Suroth worried about Rand of course ( who isn’t at this point). She tourtures Pura to find out if and how the WT controls Rand. One of the sul'dam, Alwhin, has been raised to so'jhin, which is a big deal. Suroth doesn’t trust sul’dam anymore since knowing they can channel too.

White cloaks in two rivers again… some weird Ordeith guy plotting on how to trap Rand and his friends

So Elaida’s is in everyone’s business… she recognized Min which is not good, spying on everyone, figuring out Siuan and Moraine’s plans. She is very dedicated to royal lion line and belives they will play a significant role in the last battle. She is very sus, could she be a dark friend ?
