#TodayinHistory in 1603, a Chinese uprising vs. Spaniards began in Manila, #PH. Spanish forces quelled the rebellion 17 days later, culminating in the massacre of approximately 20-25k Chinese. This is known in Philippine history as the Sangley Rebellion of 1603.

#TodayinHistory in 1945, 80 years ago, at exactly 8:15 a.m. JN local time (7:15 a.m. PH local time), an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima by the Allied forces. The attack instantly killed approximately 70k-80,000 people, most of them civilians.
