Agree! But it's also social media. I've been aware of a huge number of Facebook groups suddenly appearing this summer - very right wing but sometimes under the guise of Nostalgia or Taking Care of Our Veterans. Many of these don't originate in UK - usually Sri Lanka, USA or Italy.

Don't ignore this or laugh off. Everything Trump's done has been announced in advance, in plain sight. Many of the most outrageous ideas eg Greenland started as a 'joke' and it was Bannon who foreshadowed the complete dismantling of every branch of Government.

Small protest at an asylum seekers hotel in Aberdeen y'day. Don't think there were arrests. I've been aware of much more anti-immigration feeling on local social media with the topic being wedged in to unrelated issues. Apparently another protest is planned next weekend on the outskirts of the city.
