my dad also often goes "you can be a successful doctor AND a successful writer" no i can't. i work 70h/week. how am i supposed to dedicate ANY energy to writing professionally when what's left of it goes to minimal self care tasks

people just DON'T understand that i can't see writing as just a hobby cause it's the only consistent thing in my life and it's my only outlet for feelings my family and environment have always suppressed
