Thanks for the explanation, I do appreciate it. I hope you understand my disappointment when I pre-ordered months ago and (among others) have been anticipating this game for the last year. I hope that you can plan ahead for this with any future releases so your direct customers are served first.

How come uk retailer hit.co.uk have stock already out to their customers but your deliveries are all delayed. Aren’t you the publisher that supplied to them?

I feel this. Currently limping to the end of Act 1 and fully intend to put the game down after that until end of year discussions. I think game is good but I’m not good at it.

Very insensitive for people to put this out there before the 1st chapter even launches. I imagine a few first timers will accidentally watch this and get spoiled as hype builds for Friday’s launch.

Anecdotally mine was a panic buy because of the tariffs and likely price rises down the road. I really want to love it but it’s just not my go-to console at the moment. I’d be interested in software sales longer term for switch 2 as I suspect they’ll be significantly lower.

Yeah they’ve not been super clear on what the upgrade consist of so I kind of discounted it for the switch 2. If it’s good then I may flip to that version for convenience (it wouldn’t be the first time I double dip on a Falcom game)

Where are you thinking of playing it? I’m currently torn between steam deck and ps5. As I played the original on vita I think portability might win out.

Thank you for saying this. I’m absolutely in love with this game but I can see my new love’s flaws too. For me it was the first 8 hours of giving me upgrade materials I didn’t know I couldn’t use yet and introducing systems that I couldn’t utilise I was literally like wtf are you talking about game.

The right decision, glad you stuck with it rather than wait for the remake. Originals are a known quantity and the localisation is a marvel! Enjoy SC, it’s one of the best.
