Today, we face a challenge. A challenge meant to prove that we deserve the freedoms and rights that we have fought for for the last 249 years. The Constitution is meant to guide us, the people.
It wasn't meant to create a savior, a single person. It was meant for all of us, as a whole, to fight.

My heart goes out to this family. The pain will be felt by more than their family.
Trump will use this to drop the hammer on the country. It will likely not succeed to help him convince the people that it's necessary but it won't matter. They will do it anyways and things will now get worse.

Democrats will just keep playing the same political games they've been playing because they already believe they've won by default and have no incentive to change because we've already shown that we demand to vote blue no matter who just like Republicans do.

Why does it matter if the next Democrat admin will be filled with AG Garlands to scared to do their jobs and old geezers fantasizing about the good old days of politics (politics before 2016) not interested in letting them go.

The GOP is now deep in the "Find Out" stage of FAFO and has to decide if the complete decimation of their party is worth it just to continue to follow Trump like dodos off a cliff.
Personally I am down for them following him down the cliff. My concern is with Democrats actually ensuring he falls.

Just so we're clear, this is basically another tax on low income people. The one's most likely to go to these parks since rich people are too busy traveling to other countries or on their yachts to bother with parks. And it's insulting that people will have to show proof of citizenship to save money

Isn't anyone, besides us logical Democrats, in the world who is concerned that a single man, through the influence of a few, is deciding on the fate of a country we are simply allies with for the benefit of the guy likely holding blackmail information on him and is willing to loudly say something?

If true, the positive of this is not only getting rid of some of these garbage people but the odds of them being replaced by hardcore MAGA ppl would be slim because they are losing popularity and this could also give Dems control even before the midterm elections but likely guarantee it afterwards.

They really do believe MAGA is this stupid don't they? It's obvious the EU won't take this serious, but MAGA will eat this up as some "tough man" Trump tactic when in reality it's just for their entertainment. The EU will just move on while MAGA pats itself on the back for imaginary accomplishments.

I have no problem with them openly, purposely and straight up humiliating themselves on their own dime. All this will do is prove that few will actually give a fuck about their useless protest concert when their numbers show how small MAGA really is.

Had they just gone all in, take the country over from the start, stop pretending to follow the laws and just change everything at the stroke of the pen while ignoring the courts they might have stood a chance.
Though I doubt it because I believe a revolution would have started sooner and stronger.

There won't be a second coming. The GOP is not prepared to manage this beast they created without Trump. Sure, that Project 2025 group will try to keep it alive, but all they can really do is enjoy their short lived victories. Their chance to succeed was also their reason for failure. Trump.

I don't believe MAGA will survive without Trump. It might evolve but it won't be the same. Nazis evolved but they didn't grow in power. They're just a bunch of annoying people taking advantage of our freedom to cry they are out of power. Same with Confederates. MAGA will follow.

If there's one thing Trump's 2 admins have taught me about the US is that laws are only meant to give us a fake sense of righteousness while we learn to live with the fact that our entire system is built on the backs of those with no power to defend themselves and make excuses not to change.

All this talk about America first and jobs for Americans but these same ppl never question why immigrants do these jobs. They can claim it's because they work for less, but the truth is that unless they are paying $75k a year no American wants to do this kind of work because we're to good for it.

I'm a million years I never thought I would find myself having to fight against the urge to cheer for MTG. This most be what it feels like to be on drugs. Confusion, insanity.
