Respectfully, it’s not your lane to speak on behalf of black folks, ma’am.
Again, 80% approval from the people who do the actual work to keep the city running. I get that you hate her, but Wu ain’t going nowhere. Maybe focus on the nightmare that is the state you currently live in 😬

Yes but remember in a city as wealthy as Boston, the most working class neighborhoods are black and brown. Wu has 80% support among black folks, a demographic that votes far more consistently than their white counterparts. So no, I don’t anticipate Wu going anywhere anytime soon.

She’s not perfect—I’ve disagreed with her on some issues like closing the bus lanes and her battle with north end restaurants etc. But as someone who’s lived here my whole life, she’s the best mayor Boston’s ever had in terms of community engagement. Goes a long way around here 🤷‍♀️

Wu is beloved here in Boston. SEIU, BPPA, IBEW, NASRCC and a whole slew of other unions endorsed her. Yes she lost the iron workers and Laborers Local 7 but by and large unions and working class people support her. 🤷‍♀️

She’s so fucking smart.

Meanwhile every other country sees the writing on the wall with fossil fuels. As you imply here, he could still move forward with renewables and court these foreign leaders through other means. But he needs the dying fossil fuel industry to be on his side so he continues to prop them up.

Of course but we’re talking specifically about his relationship with MBS here. It’s not complicated. It’s completely transactional and it’s about what he can get from MBS/SA to make himself wealthier. www.wsj.com/business/a-n...
A New Trump Resort in the Maldives Courts Crypto Investors
The Trump Organization said it’s partnering with a Saudi-owned developer and using a crypto-like funding vehicle to raise money.

Of course. But I don’t think that matters to Trump because he doesn’t actually care about fossil fuels or renewables. All he cares about is how he can form short term transactional relationships with foreign leaders to make himself more rich.
November 19, 2025 at 11:29 PM
No doubt but their oil supply won’t be depleted in the next three years and that’s all Trump needs to make billions off his crypto currency. The Saudis are planning for the future of their country whereas Trump only plans for himself and the rest of his presidency. 🤷‍♀️
November 19, 2025 at 11:22 PM
I actually think he knows but and he just said the quiet part out loud again. Crude oil is Saudi Arabia’s biggest export. Trump wants to be on the transactional side where he can buy their oil in exchange for Saudi Arabia investing in his crypto coin. Google “Dar Global”.
November 19, 2025 at 11:12 PM
Yeah exactly. They see the writing on the wall like the rest of the world: renewables are cheaper, safer, easier to reproduce. But Trump doesn’t care about any of that because the Oval Office is just a place to do transactions that enrich himself and his family.

She didn’t switch teams FFS. She’s still a Republican. And sorry I’m not gonna waste time shitting on the ONE Republican that’s willing to break from the King. I’ll leave that up to you blue dogs.
November 17, 2025 at 1:37 PM
Why would you think she’s a “friend”? She’s a Republican and has never ever pretended to be a “friend” to the Democratic Party.
November 17, 2025 at 12:01 AM
Praising her?? 🤔 Again, you guys are BEGGING the GOP to break from Trump yet when one Republican does break, you can’t stop talking about what a fake disingenuous loser she is. Mystery why Repubs don’t want a primary target on their back from Trump and endless shit from Dems by breaking with Trump.
November 16, 2025 at 11:43 PM
Yet she is. And she certainly comes across a lot more sane than her Republican counterparts on issues like Epstein and extending the ACA credits.
November 16, 2025 at 11:37 PM
He nixed her senate bid after her team said she’s running for president so moot point. But yeah, she’s clearly trying to carve out a lane for herself and good for her. If the GOP wins in 2028 I’d rather have someone who seems willing to moderate than some insane dementia ridden narcissist like DJT.
November 16, 2025 at 11:33 PM
Democrats don’t face the wrath of a tyrant and a funding machine that will annihilate their candidacy the way MTG does yet so many are feckless and cowardly. Again, I don’t like MTG but I’m not so partisan that I can’t admit that taking this stance is politically risky for her.
November 16, 2025 at 11:30 PM
Except she’s NEVER wavered once on Epstein. Not once. She’s been more consistent than some in the Dem party TBH.
November 16, 2025 at 11:26 PM
Who fucking cares why she’s doing it? If you guys are gonna wait for every Republican to come out and defy Trump out of a sense of integrity then you’ll be waiting forever because that’s not gonna happen. The point is she’s broken from her party and at great risk.
November 16, 2025 at 11:26 PM
Oh wow yeah a Republican who voted like a Republican. Again, she hasn’t suddenly come out as a DEMOCRAT FFS. She’s a Republican who has broken from Trump and now has a target on her back because of it. I don’t get why it’s so hard for you guys to just recognize that.
