I think AGI will happen, but not on silicon. It'll happen on whatever replaces silicon. Or whatever replaces that, more than likely.

The hours and hours that I've spent trying to coax and correct the various LLM models into doing what I want have left me with the realization that my time is better spent trying to acquire the skills that I was trying to supplant with AI.
For me, AI is nothing more than learned helplessness.
