Ok ok guess it’s time to right that wrong. It will be a welcome respite from the June heat 😊

Still haven’t gotten round to visiting this, always mean to, always get distracted and go elsewhere… 😬

Unfortunately the queue was too long for me, thought I’d best leave the waiting to the faithful

Absolutely agree! I wonder how the queues are at Santa Maria Maggiore, might pop in tomorrow and see if I can get a top down snap

Beautiful spires, made me think of those at Sagrada Familia, is it a Catalan style?

So many beautiful things to see in Cologne, I wouldn’t presume to send you a list. But for further inspiration search my posts here and the app formerly known as Twitter for “Cologne” or even “Bonn” (as it’s very close and also nice)

Yes, perhaps my favourite museum, beautiful pieces and at a size that’s “manageable”

I find places like V&A, MANN in Naples, Altes Museum in Berlin etc just too big and overwhelming

Cracking font! I was just looking at my pics of this Rhenish example ca. 1200 earlier, the protruding faces are an interesting similarity
