This Memorial Day I remember my friend 2LT Travis Morgado. From San Jose, CA; we met as 09S OCS Candidates at Ft. Leonard Wood, C 2-10INF. He would go on to infantry BOLC, Airborne, and ranger school deploy in March of 2012 as a platoon leader where he was KIA 05/23/2012, Zharay, Afghanistan.

It feels so surreal being here for the University of Louisville Graduate School PhD orientation! Thank you to my amazing mentors Jane Ellery, Samuel Opoku, Susan Hyatt, and everyone who has helped me get here!

I was able to spend the week training with faculty in facilitating Inside-Out programming at their home institutions where I met Professor and Documentarian Kelly Richmond Pope from DePaul University. Watching All the Queens Horses this weekend before diving into her new book!
