gotcha! just one of those health things that just took years to figure out what was going on, then took months to convince a doc to test for it, then it ended up being exactly the problem.

have you looked into IIH at all? A close friend has been having similar(ish) symptoms & did a bunch of testing and it turns out they have too much spinal fluid in their brain, causing weird problems with vision, headaches, sudden-onset tinnitus, etc.
