I think that’s kind of inevitable to be honest. If her “hot takes” haven’t immortalised her, Harry Potter definitely did. Starkid is a comparatively tiny, no one’s first time hearing of the franchise was from Starkid? I see your point but I just don’t think Starkid has that much influence

Thats everywhere nowadays but ot me it seems like a pretty harmless way to celebrate a big part of many peoples childhood. Starkid has a fair but of queer representation, I think this just goes to show how the art can be separated from the artist (so long as she never sees a penny of the profits)

The way I see it, Rowling doesn’t make a cent off it. It seems like a nice way to enjoy the series and fan base (which is widely progressive) while reclaiming it from that disgusting piece of shit. I do understand that it’s a very sensitive topic, shes obviously furled a large portion of the filth-

I generally like the Lib Dems but this feels like an odd campaign point. Do we not have bigger problems than people playing music too loud? Sure its annoying but we just dont have time to focus on little stuff like this

Yeah, wealth tax is hard but it’s worth it. I say this as someone who would be hit by a wealth tax, we need it. Wealth inequality in the UK is absurd (especially in terms of assets, look it up) so a wealth tax is the best way to tackle that. CGT could also be raised to the same level as income tax 🤷

Celebrating red states being punished should not be what the lefts movement stands for. These people have been tricked by trump and seduced into fascism but we need to be willing to forgive and help them grow otherwise we will never make it as a political movement

I think most of Jesus teachings are actually pretty cool. They just aren’t followed by most modern day American evangelicals who are the most over represented religious group in American society. Religion shouldn’t play that huge of a role in politics and government
