If the world is lucky this will be taught in American schools as a dark time in US history forever like German history (specifically WWII/holocaust is taught in German schools. Sadly it might not be taught forever here.

And people wonder why we want a 4 day work week and don't prioritize anything further in the future than a few years. What's the point of trying to make lots of money for a future we'll probably never see? Better to be happy in the present than "once I make it". Who knows what's in a few months

Yup, and sadly it can only be undone by taxing the rich if at all. But too many people think they're close to being "the rich" so they vote against it, not knowing that they're closer to owning 1 million than any of those multi-billionaires are.

Now that I think about it, maybe writing out a prompt for myself before a difficult email is actually a good way to go about it. It gives me a framework to work with and articulates the requirements I have for it. Could even work for other things.

There are some upsides as well, but saving us from having to put our feelings into words is not one of them.

I totally agree. Sorry if my reply seemed to be in favor of ai. I know it doesn't really change anything when you look at it from a materialistic standpoint, but I find the idea of being moved by something written with zero emotion by ai extremely sad.

I find the idea that seemingly heartfelt emails are written by a computer disheartening. The human element, even if we can't see it right away is what makes it good. Someone sat down and pondered what words to use, maybe questioned the decision and wrote something else. Only humans can do that.
