I don't think this is the first time I have marveled at how the hell you can hand-shoot a mid-length lens at 1/20, but either way, it's impressive. You have a real eye for event shooting, IMHO.

Was this with a flash, or a tripod? Excellent job, regardless, managing light with that film speed in an indoor space....

Mine gets used for macro work on occasion. As you say, great camera, but not what I am looking for these days. Instead, I prefer smaller, more convenient cameras, like the Crown Graphic.

FWIW, I do think that's the best way to use these things: even adding the K-to-Z converter, my old K-mount lenses are pretty small on the Z, and mirrorless makes manual focusing feasible again. Esp. with IBIS, one gets a not-too-huge setup that works well in very low light, which is cool.

That looks terribly cool.

Well, they already found that LA was hotter than expected, so their options seem to be dwindling....

I have a Z5, and it is certainly like shooting on cheat mode. But I find the camera+lenses big and bulky in comparison to my film gear, so I don't use it much. (If using digital, I often go back to my D5500, or my LX100II, which are smaller.) All depends on what one wants, though....

Awesome. Alas, I am too far south...

Thanks! I totally agree: when I shoot Ektar, I end up spending a vast amount of time struggling with color balance. When it works, the stuff is superb, but it is remarkably temperamental. I then give it up for a while, before getting seduced again by the cases where it works. :-/ It's a failing.
